Returns & Refunds

This policy covers orders placed directly on vitiumtattoo.com. If you bought VITIUM on Amazon or TikTok Shop, that marketplace’s own returns policy applies instead — please start the return there, not here.

1. The short version

• 30 days from delivery to request a return.
• The jar must be unopened and unused, with its seal intact.
• You cover return postage, unless the item was faulty, damaged, or wrong.
• Refunds go back to your original payment method.

2. Why unopened only

VITIUM Tattoo Butter is a cosmetic applied to broken and healing skin. Once a jar is opened we cannot verify how it has been stored or handled, and we will not resell it to someone else. For that reason opened jars cannot be returned for a change of mind. This is the standard hygiene exception for cosmetics and it does not affect your rights where an item is faulty (see section 5).

3. How to start a return

Email info@vitiumtattoo.com within 30 days of delivery with your order number (it looks like VIT-XXXXXXXX and is in your confirmation email) and a one-line reason. We’ll reply with the return address and confirm what happens next.

Please don’t send anything back before you hear from us — unannounced parcels can arrive without any way for us to match them to an order or refund you.

4. Return postage

For a change of mind, you pay return postage and the item stays your responsibility until it reaches us. We recommend a tracked service; we can only refund what we actually receive.

If the item is faulty, damaged in transit, or not what you ordered, we cover the cost — see below.

5. Faulty, damaged, or wrong items

If your order arrives damaged, defective, or is simply not what you ordered, tell us within 30 days and we will put it right with a replacement or a full refund, including the original delivery charge and any return postage. The unopened-seal condition in section 2 does not apply here — you are not expected to leave a faulty product sealed. Photographs help us resolve it faster, but we will not make you jump through hoops.

Nothing in this policy limits your legal rights in respect of goods that are faulty, not as described, or not fit for purpose.

6. Refunds

Once your return arrives and we’ve checked it, we’ll refund you within 14 days to the payment method you originally used. Your bank or card issuer may take a few extra days to show it. Where the whole order is returned we refund standard delivery too; if you chose express delivery we refund up to the cost of our standard option.

7. Your statutory cancellation right (UK & EU)

If you are a consumer in the United Kingdom or the European Union, you have a legal right to cancel a distance purchase within 14 days of receiving it, without giving a reason. This right sits alongside — and is not replaced by — the 30-day window above, which is more generous.

One legal exception applies to cosmetics: sealed goods that are not suitable for return for health-protection or hygiene reasons lose the cancellation right once they have been unsealed. An unopened jar can always be cancelled; an opened one cannot, unless it is faulty.

To cancel, email info@vitiumtattoo.com. You do not need to use a special form, though telling us your order number saves time.

8. Who you are returning to

Your order was sold by whichever VITIUM entity serves your country, and returns go to the same one:

• United States — VITIUM LLC, Sheridan, Wyoming
• United Kingdom and elsewhere — VITIUM LTD, Bromley, United Kingdom

Full details for both are in our Terms & Conditions. We’ll give you the correct return address when you contact us — please don’t return items to a fulfilment centre, as parcels sent there cannot be traced back to your order.
